Focused on Family and Community Health

We offer routine care and daily acute care clinic services for our patients

Over 50 Years of Family, Obstetric and Palliative Care in Brampton

For over 50 years, Brameast Family Health Organization has been one of our community’s largest health care providers, offering palliative care for Brampton area patients in their homes, as well as supportive care to our patients admitted to Brampton Civic Hospital. Our caring team includes 13 family physicians, an advanced care palliative nurse, clinic registered nurses and a fully trained administrative support staff to provide comprehensive care to over 12,000 patients. We’ve also been teaching family medicine residents with McMaster University since the Family Medicine Teaching Center (FMTC) started in Brampton in 2008.

Family and Community Health Services Covered by OHIP

Our medical care team is focused on family and community health. We coordinate patient care in order to assess and treat injuries or illnesses, and we also offer a daily acute care clinic service for registered patients only. Because most of our services are covered by the Ontario Health Insurance Plan (OHIP), people who need medical care, low-risk obstetric care or palliative care in the Brampton area generally feel comfortable visiting our clinic or having our physicians visit them in their home or hospital. When providing community-based palliative care, our family physicians don’t require a direct referral from your physician to transfer you into our palliative care program.
